Wake up to break up

"HE IS NO GOOD FOR KAY!" said my very opinionated sister. Ok so I admit this title is a little weird right? Well look at it this way we have all experienced a relationship that everyone else but you has realized is no good for you. Wether it was poor compatibility, abusive or literally un healthy at some point you became aware and "woke up". At the time my sister quoted the phrase above I was very much unaware of the situation in which I was placing myself. In fact it was after the break up that I woke up and saw what she saying. Ok so what does a story on breaking off a relationship have to do with this blog post? Ok lets go to the word. Philippians 1:21-22 KJV states
[21] For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. At what point do you wake up and realize that YOUR living IS Christ ? Good morning and hello!! For the apostolic christian professional in all of our successes, failures and future endeavors is our living Christ like, in our secular offices?
"... To die is gain" this is the break up part. To make a change you must first become aware, aroused, stimulated or for the sake of this blog " wake up".  Breaking  off a relationship is NOT easy, especially when you first become aware that a change is mandatory, all the emotions the crying, insomnia, and  putting away our desires of wanting to go back with the individual. Sounds familiar ? Breaking, tearing down and putting away our egos are all that occur during a "break up" between two individuals. How much more is the separation from the secular world as we profile Christ in our lives, while striving to be the best in a world that hates Christ? Yes I said profile, what is the point of being a Christian if we not profiling though? The unique part about us Apostolic's/ Christian's  is that we are meant to be the best. "And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God... Deuteronomy 28:13.
As a professional I realize it might be challenging to faithfully obey all the commandments, we shout on Sunday and we walk into a "situation" on Monday. We have desires outside of Christ which is why we have done well so far right ? The promotions, good paycheck, and modest living. The problem is not our desires and ambitions, it is when the push to get promoted is greater than the push to demonstrate Christ  yes...... Ehhmm .... Until next time keep healthy, be happy and remain blessed.
